Our Mission
To KNOW God, to BE His people, to VALUE others, and to CHANGE our World
Our Vision and Values
We Value Biblical Teaching and Authority
We strive to teach God’s Word with integrity and authority so that seekers find Christ, and believers mature in Him. (2 Tim 3:16) The Bible is our authoritative spiritual guide. It is the ONLY Word of God. What the Bible teaches takes precedence over church traditions or human opinion. (2 Tim 3:16, John 17:17)
We Value Teamwork
Christianity is not a spectator sport. Service is love in action. Through our God-given gifts and talents, we find fulfilment and participate in the work of God in the world. (1 Cor 12:27) This is accomplished through a three-step process. First, people get involved through our Sunday morning worship. Second, people move from being Sunday morning participants to Bible study/cell group participants. Finally, people move to reproduction. This is accomplished through starting/hosting a cell group and/or winning people to Christ through active evangelism.
We Value People’s Giftedness
We believe that God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well, and those are given to His church to serve others and grow the Kingdom of God. (Rom. 12:6, 1 Peter 4:10)
We Value a Christ Centered Church
We believe that God wants His church to be a place where Jesus is at the center and heart of it all; this is accomplished by evidencing Christ’s love to people. Jesus stated this himself when He said, “people will know you are my disciples because you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)
We Value Being a Refuge for People who are Hurting
We believe God wants His church to be a place of refuge where rest and healing are available to those who need it. (Matt 11:28)
We Value Lost People
We value unchurched, lost people and will use every available method to reach them. Christ-honoring means to pursue, win, and grow the lost to mature believers of the faith. (Luke 19:10)
We Value Loving Jesus Christ
We believe that no one can love God for us. We must individually stay connected to Christ through living in Him. (John 15) Through the Word of God, prayer, personal worship, and obedience, we can love God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
We Value a Commitment to Prayer
We believe that God desires His people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer. (Matt 7:7-11; James 5:13-18). Therefore, the ministries and activities of this church will be characterized by a reliance on prayer (private and corporate) in their conception, planning and execution.
We Value Authentic Worship
We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and in the corporate, contemporary worship services in our church.
We Value Participation in Sunday Morning’s Service
Weekly we gather to celebrate God’s goodness, be exposed to the Word of God, and catch up on family news. Our contemporary worship service provides ministry to believers and an open door to visitors and non-Christians in the community.
We Value Deep Relationships
We believe in a commitment to cultivating deep, abiding relationships within the body of Christ. We are the body of Christ, and we are family.
We Value Community
As the body of Christ, we ask all our people to commit to and fully participate in biblically functioning small groups/Bible study where they may reach the lost, exercise their gifts, be shepherded, and thus grow in Christ-likeness. (Acts 2:44-46)
We Value Commitment
We believe commitment means we give ourselves completely and totally to the LORD: then, by God’s will, we give ourselves to each other. (2 Cor 8:5)
We Value Transformation to Christ-likeness
We believe that Christ’s followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. This growth is primarily spiritual. Healthy things grow. We believe we will grow into Christ-likeness as we walk with Christ together. (Col 2:19)
We Value a Commitment to Excellence
We believe that the God of our salvation deserves the best we have to offer. The Lord Himself is a God of excellence, as shown by the beauty of His creation; further, he gave the best he had, his only son. (Rom 8:32) We are exhorted in scripture to “work with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” (Col 3:23) Therefore, the ministries of 3WC will seek to maintain a high standard of excellence to the glory of God.
We Value Godly Leadership
We believe that our leaders are to follow God and be examples of Him. We value men and women of God who model God’s character in their dealings with this church and with each other. 1 Corinthians 11:1
